John had to say...

Hi: I retired 11-'04, planning to read and garden.  Alas, I needed more money, so I now have 2 part-time jobs to go with my reading and gardening. One of these is gardener/handyman for an older guy and his family.  I rather enjoy the work.  I have skills they need and they are easy to work for.  I used to live in the Ozarks where I raised goats, chickens, etc. I was self employed most of the time as chimney sweep, painter, handyman, etc.  i also hauled trash and cleaned up rentals.  After 9 years, we moved to Oregon, where I got my AAS in Water Quality Technology and became a wastewater plant operator for 10 years, 8 months.  I'm a deacon in the United Church of Christ, although a number of my beliefs don't really jive with conventional church doctrine.  For instance, I think the dumbest thing Gerald Ford ever did was renounce assasination as a tool we can use.  If Bin Laden had been taken out before 9-11, I'm sure the world would be a better place.  Hey, more later, house husbands have to earn their keep!

Terrorists and gardens!

The only good one is a dead one.  Heads on pikes would send a message; likely the only one they understand!  The  famous  LAPD tee shirt had it right "Smoke 'em, don't choke 'em"! Hey, I'm not really a bloodthirsty killer; I'm a gardener and will send seeds to those who want them.  I've garden advise, too.  Let me know what you need!

Hi,Patrick: I just read your comment: I'm a little late perusing my site.  I'm glad someone agrees with my point of view.  i also support the use of  "Q-ships" to suppress piracy.  You probably  know what those are unlike world governments.  Maybe the thought of feeding pirates  to the sharks bothers them.  Hey, shoot me an E!  Choose a book from my shelf!  Later, Catmint
